Frequently Asked Questions
General Enquiries
What happens during my first visit?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your massage begins, so you have time to change, settle in and use the shower if needed. We will welcome you at reception, answer any questions and help you choose the right type of massage for your needs and state of health. Before the treatment begins, your masseuse will briefly ask about any preferences regarding pressure or areas you would like her to focus on.
When is it not advisable to have a massage?
Massage is not suitable if you have a fever, an infectious illness, a viral infection, acute inflammation, or if you are not feeling well. We also do not recommend it in the case of recent injuries, fractures, or serious oncological conditions. If you are unsure, please consult your doctor or call us – we will be happy to advise you.
Can a massage be painful?
Some massages, especially during your first treatment, may feel slightly uncomfortable due to muscle stiffness. When a massage is performed correctly, any pain should never be intense or unpleasant. We always recommend communicating with your therapist and letting her know if anything does not feel right. The pressure can be adjusted during the treatment.
How often do you recommend having a massage?
The recommended frequency depends on your needs. For general relaxation, we recommend a massage once every 2–4 weeks. If you suffer from back pain, migraines, insomnia or stress, you may have massages more often. Regular care helps keep both body and mind in balance.
What are the benefits of regular massage?
Regular massage helps reduce stress, improves blood circulation, supports the body’s detoxification and enhances overall physical and mental wellbeing. It can also help with chronic back pain, muscle tension or migraines.
Can massage help with insomnia?
Yes, relaxing massages help calm the nervous system and improve the quality of sleep. Regular visits can help establish a healthier sleep rhythm and ease the effects of stress, which is often behind sleep disturbances.
Is a reservation necessary, or can I come without an appointment?
We recommend making a reservation, especially if you would like a massage on a specific day or at a particular time. We will be happy to welcome you without an appointment if we have availability, but slots tend to fill up quickly.
Can I come for a massage with my partner or a friend?
Yes, we also offer couples’ massages, which take place in a shared massage room. It is a beautiful experience you can enjoy together. When booking, please let us know that you are interested in a couples’ massage.
Do you offer gift vouchers for massages?
Yes, you can purchase a gift voucher from us for any massage or amount. It makes an ideal gift for any occasion. Vouchers are available in the salon or online.
Before Your Visit
Do I need to follow any rules before a massage?
Yes, we recommend not overeating – ideally, have your last larger meal at least one hour before your massage. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. If you have any medical condition, it is a good idea to let us know. We also recommend removing all jewellery and switching off your mobile phone so you can fully enjoy the treatment.
What should I take off before the massage?
Before your massage, please remove all jewellery and watches. Disposable underwear and towels are available for you in the room. If you have booked a traditional Thai massage, comfortable clothing will be prepared for you.
Can I use a shower before my massage?
Yes, showers are fully available in our salon. We recommend using them before your massage, especially before oil and aromatherapy treatments, to make your experience as pleasant as possible. Clean skin also absorbs massage oils and essences more effectively.
How should I prepare mentally for a massage?
Come with an open mind and leave all your worries at the door. During the massage, try to relax and focus on your breathing. Close your eyes and allow yourself to rest – deep relaxation is part of the whole experience. If you feel any discomfort, please let us know – we are here for you.
What rules apply during the massage?
During the massage, it is important to keep calm and quiet. Please switch off your mobile phone or set it to silent mode without vibration. You can ask your therapist at any time to adjust the pressure using the simple words ‘SOFT’ for a gentler massage or ‘STRONG’ for a more intense one. We welcome feedback – we want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
What if I’m allergic to oils or fragrances?
Please let us know in advance. We offer hypoallergenic, fragrance-free oils and will adapt the massage to make it as safe and pleasant as possible for you.
What should I wear or bring with me?
For most massages, there is no need to bring any special clothing. We will provide everything you need on site – from robes to disposable underwear. For a traditional Thai massage, we will lend you a special massage outfit.
What types of massage do you offer?
We offer a wide range of massages, including traditional Thai massage, aroma massage, head, back and neck massage, foot reflexology and more. We’ll be happy to help you choose the right one.
Can I shower after my massage as well?
Yes, showers are available to you after your massage as well. If you have had an oil massage, we recommend waiting a little while so the active ingredients from the oils can absorb into the skin, and then showering at your leisure, as you wish.
